Job Description
Our passionate team is looking for a passionate and
energetic individual to join us as one of our Event Captains. We
are a fun, fast-paced company, but we always work hard! We have over 40 years
of experience under our belt in catering for corporate and private events of
between 2-3000 people, including the 2002 SLC Olympics and the Sundance Film
Festival. It's fair to say that we know a bit about the catering business and
revel in the opportunity to work with new clients!
We are looking for an Event Captain to join our team.
A Captain acts as a head manager for any event. A Captain oversees all moving
parts of an event from start to finish - an eye for design is especially
important!
Duties And Responsibilities
The ideal Captain will be:

A leader by example fostering teamwork and
collaboration during events.
·
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining food,
beverage, and service quality through effective communication with event
coordinators and associates.
·
Creative and have an eye for design while still
paying close attention to detail.
·
Ensure consistent service by communicating and
delegating tasks as needed.
·
Flexible, dependable, and punctual with the work
schedule, with the understanding that depending on business needs events can
occur during the evenings, weekends, or holidays.
·
Able to identify and solve problems that may
arise quickly and efficiently.
·
At least 21 years of age and able to lift 50+
lbs.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
·
Own the role of being the main point of contact
t with the client(s).
·
Delegate duties and responsibilities to staff
throughout the entire event.
·
Oversee all moving parts of an event from start
to finish.
·
Adjust event space to allow the function to move
smoothly.
·
Manage and enforce all equipment and food safety
regulations in addition to company policies.
Education and Experience
Requirements:
·
Valid Utah Food Handlers & Utah State
Alcohol Certification
·
Valid Utah State Driver’s License
Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in English
Public Speaking
Valid UT Food Handlers Permit
Valid Drivers License
